Laity's Call To Meet The Challenge

Vatican II clearly defined the role of  the laity in the world:

•By reason of their special vocation, it belongs to laity to seek the kingdom of God by engaging in temporal affairs and directing them according to God’s will. (Lumen Gentium 31)

•The laity have a special responsibility for the conversion of secular culture and its structures and institutions. (Lumen Gentium 36)

We, the laity in the Church, need to respond to the call to impact the culture around us that in many ways is attacking our beliefs and the core structure of society. How do we do that? That is what LEL is about.
