Catholic Biblical School of Colorado Springs

The Catholic Biblical School of Colorado Springs offers you a life-changing Journey through Sacred Scripture. You will discover God’s Story, told through the pages of Sacred Scripture, as you have never experienced it before.

The four-year Scripture study covers, in varying depth, the 73 books of the Bible.

1st Year- From Eden to Exile: Salvation History from Genesis to 2 Maccabees
2nd Year- Proclaiming the Kingdom: Synoptic Gospels, Acts, and Letters of Paul
3rd Year- A Future and a Hope: Prophets, Tobit, Judith, and Esther
4th Year- Wisdom and the Word: Psalms, Wisdom Literature, Catholic Epistles, Johannine Literature

E
ach year of study is comprised of 30 weekly, two-hour sessions that begin in September and continue through May. Each weekly session consist of small-group discussions of the assignment followed by a lecture on the Scripture material. Classes are held mornings and evenings in strategically located parishes within the Diocese of Colorado Springs. The Syllabus provides a short course summary for each of the four years.

To enroll in the September First Year class, you must first attend one of our Information Sessions held during July, August, and September. The Information Sessions are our opportunity to explain the Catholic Biblical School, and it is your opportunity to ask questions about this four-year Journey.

I am very pleased to recommend the Catholic Biblical School of Colorado Springs, an affiliate of the Denver Catholic Biblical School. The Catholic Biblical School of Colorado Springs offers top-notch courses that will enable students to know God more intimately, as well as His Son Jesus Christ who alone has “the words of eternal life” (1 Jn. 1:4). Pope Benedict XVI tells that “the laity need to be trained to discern God’s will through a familiarity with his word, read and studied in the Church under the guidance of her legitimate pastors” (Verbum Domini, 84). Our Biblical School is an excellent response to that need.
