COLORADO SPRINGS. Partners in Housing will hold a Mother’s Day event for 60 single mothers who are homeless and participating in the agency’s one-year housing program. The goal is to create a “family day” of fun and education on Mother’s Day, May 14, for mothers and their children who have experienced the trauma of homelessness and, in many cases, domestic violence. The agency is looking for donations of flowers that the children can give to their mothers and personal hygiene items for gift baskets.
