Bishop Michael Sheridan will preside at the 15th annual Worldwide Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour on Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 2133 Poinsetta Dr. Children are invited to make sacrifices for peace in the world, the conversion of sinners and reparation for sins and then write them down to present them to the Blessed Mother. MONUMENT. The Prayer Pants Ministry at St. Peter Parish in Monument will host a Human Trafficking Awareness Night on Sept. 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the school lecture hall. The event will provide information about how human trafficking is affecting Colorado and what lay people can do to combat the problem. It is suitable for those ages 16 and up.

COLORADO SPRINGS. St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Colorado Springs will once again host Briarfest Sept. 8-10 on the parish grounds. The event will feature carnival midway rides and games, free concerts and entertainment, a beer garden, wine tastings, food booths and more. Proceeds will benefit Marian House soup kitchen and St. Gabriel Parish. Admission is free; donations will be accepted at the gate for Marian House. COLORADO SPRINGS. Danielle Rose, a Catholic singer-songwriter, will give a free concert on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. at Shove Chapel. Rose’s five albums, released between 2001 and 2013, are available on itunes or at www.daniellerose.com. In 2004, Rose received the personal blessing of St. John Paul II when she presented him with her second album, “Mysteries,” a collection of meditations on the mysteries of the rosary.
