Vicar for Clergy

Very Rev. Robert E. Jaeger, V.G.

The Vicar for Clergy acts as the delegate of the Bishop to oversee all matters concerning clergy personnel. The primary responsibilities of the Vicar for Clergy include the following:

  • Chairs the priest personal;

  • Assists in planning for placement of priests in the Diocese;

  • Conducts interviews and background checks of priests;

  • Acts as member of the Bishop’s Administrative Staff;

  • Acts as Bishop’s liaison to various diocesan committees and councils, as well as to religious communities

As Vicar for Clergy, Fr. Jaeger also serves as Master of Ceremonies for Diocesan liturgical functions.
