The Office of Pastoral Services and the Department of Human Resources of the Diocese of Colorado Springs jointly provide a variety of programs to parishes and schools in the Diocese. To schedule a workshop, contact Mission Effectiveness at 719-636-2345.
Safe Environment Training
As directed by the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, training opportunities for adults, youth, and children in creating and maintaining a safe environment in our programs, parishes, and community are developed and delivered.
Conflict Intervention and Mediation
Using a Catholic Conciliation model, disputants can work in a facilitated and non-threatening environment to explore and create solutions using a faith-based mediation process. Both formal and informal dispute resolution opportunities can be facilitated with groups and individuals.
Catholic Conciliation Mission
The Catholic Conciliation model is taught in a three-session parish mission, where participants are taken through a four-step faith-based conflict resolution process. This proactive program equips Catholics to embrace conflict as an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth.
Retreats for regional and parish staffs
A variety of topics and experiences can be developed for parish staffs in their efforts to grow spiritually and professionally, and to assist them in working together in a positive and supportive manner.
Staff Development Workshops
Whether it is communication workshops, conflict management programs, Team Performance Management Seminars, team building workshops, or goal planning sessions, parish staffs can experience a wide range of development opportunities. Personalized workshops can be developed for special needs. Programs can be tailored to fit a full or half day schedule.
Communications Seminar:
Since we spend most of our waking hours somewhere in the communication loop (thinking, speaking, hearing, listening, feeding back, etc.) this fast-paced and entertaining seminar enables us to increase our awareness and improve our skills in this important area.
Team Performance Management Seminar:
There are four distinct approaches to working on a team. This seminar enables each participant to discover his/her strengths and gifts in contributing to a team, and learn to appreciated and value every other team member's approach.
Team Building Workshops:
Just because we call a group of people a team doesn't necessarily make them a high-performance team! This workshop helps existing teams analyze their strengths and weaknesses ("growing edges" to the politically correct) and strategize how to maximize the performance of the entire team.
