Corpus Christi Date Night program kicks off Sept. 30 c
COLORADO SPRINGS. The Covenant of Love Date Night program at Corpus Christi Parish will resume monthly meetings on Sept. 30 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the parish hall. The speaker will be Father Nathan Cromley of the Community of St. John, who will also be the featured speaker at the Dec. 9 and Feb. 10 meetings.
The series of talks is called “Date with Father Nate” and the topic will be “How to have your best marriage ever.” The February meeting will take place at The Warehouse restaurant and will have a Valentine’s Day theme, said Jenny Vostatek, one of the program’s organizers.
“The format this year is similar to previous years, beginning with a potluck, followed by the speaker, with small-group table questions and finishing up with one-on-one couple time,” Vostatek said. “However, while in years past they haven’t built on themselves, we thought it would be nice to have the same speaker for more than one evening.”
Child care for those attending Date Night is offered free of charge, but pre-registration is required. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Over Labor Day weekend, Father Cromley led a “Catholic Family Fest” retreat for couples that have previously attended Date Night at the Ponderosa Retreat Center. About 25 families — 150 people total — participated in the retreat.
Father Cromley resides in Englewood, where he is president of Eagle Eye Ministries and founder of the St. John Institute.
