Inclement Weather/Emergency Closures    Transcript Request Form

CLOSURE DUE TO WEATHER OR FACILITY CONDITIONS

Ordinarily a school will close for snow if the local public school district is closed or if local conditions or faculty absences warrant closure. However, each principal, according to local need can also make that decision regardless of the public school district decision, as well as a decision for a 2-hour delay.

When closures exceed the three days provided for in the Diocesan Academic Calendar, the Office of Total Catholic Education may require that days be added to the calendar in order to maintain a level of instruction.

Each school develops and disseminates local policies that address closure and special schedules for weather or facility conditions. These policies also include procedures for faculty and media notification.
