The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops published a pastoral letter in November of 1995 specifically recognizing and honoring the college student in the life of the Church. Understanding the gifts, enthusiasm and also the challenges of collegiate life the Diocese of Colorado Springs sponsors a campus ministry program for the students at UCCS. Under the title “Catholic Student Club” the campus ministry program provides community life, Bible Studies, catechetical discussions, liturgy and prayer, Catholic Social Teaching, and support and advocacy for each individual participant. The UCCS Catholic Student Club joins the Catholic Community at Colorado College for Sunday liturgy and for discussion/dinners. We also join together as a larger campus ministry community for retreats and other special events.
