Internet Crimes Against Children - Ave Maria Church
A member of the Parker Police Department will speak on “Internet Crimes Against Children” from 7-8:30 p.m. June 27 at Ave Maria Church’s Dwyer Hall, 9056 E. Parker Rd., Parker. The presenter will discuss: current Internet sex crimes legislation within the U.S. and Colorado; the danger of children entering into online chat rooms with child predators; the effectiveness of child Internet filters and blockers; and how to learn where registered sex offenders live in one’s neighborhood. The talk is also in support of “As For Me and My House,” the Diocese of Colorado Springs’ parish-based program aimed at dealing with pornography and healing and recovery for those involved in pornography.

 

At the Heart of the Theology of the Body - Holy Trinity Church
Gravity, a new diocesan-wide young adult group for ages 21-35, is hosting “At the Heart of the Theology of the Body” with Fr. Walter Schu, L.C. at Holy Trinity June 27.
