The 2019 Summer Formation Series is scheduled for Monday evenings, 6:30pm – 8:30pm, starting June 10 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

The topic for the this year’s series is: “Prophecy and the Book of Isaiah: Introduction and Exposition”, led by Deacon Rick Bauer. This year we are happy to announce, if you are not able to make a Monday session, or are out of town, the series will be available online. Upon completion of the course, certificates will be awarded.
The General Directory for Catechesis mandates
that the faith of adults must be continually enlightened, developed and
protected, so that it may acquire that Christian wisdom which gives sense,
unity and hope to the many experiences of personal, social and spiritual
We must always take into consideration the many and varied categories
our adults fall into:
Those who consistently live their faith option and
sincerely desire to deepen it.
Those who have been baptized but not sufficiently
Those who have fallen away from the faith and have a
desire to return fully to it.
Those who are non-baptized or from Christian faiths not in
full communion with the Catholic Church who wish to become Catholic.
These situations and circumstances require specific forms
- Traditional forms of catechesis adapted to the
liturgical year or in the form of missions
- Ongoing catechesis of those who have a role in
formation in the community
- Catechesis for particularly significant events in
life, such as Marriage or the Baptism of children
- The RCIA process
The Office of Total Catholic Education supports the
Parishes in developing and supporting these programs and the coordinators and
catechists who work with adults.
Regis University’s Colorado
Springs campus currently has a Theology Enrichment Program developed to
provide classes for individuals who wish to earn a Certificate in Catholic
Studies or Adult Spirituality. These classes can be taken for credit or
audited. Regis also offers Degree Programs in Pastoral Administration and

The rite of Christian initiation is designed for adults
who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely
seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy
Spirit opens their heart. This rite includes not only the celebration of the
sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Communion, but also all the rites
belonging to the catechumenate. The Second Vatican Council restored this
ancient practice, revised it and makes allowances for local traditions. The
