A Matter of Life and Death: Beginning and End of Life Ethics

Please join the Diocesan Respect Life Apostolate and Fr. Tad Pacholczyk (Director of Education for the National Catholic Bioethics Center) to explore Catholic bioethics, especially at the beginning and end of life. This seminar includes two 1-hour talks by Fr Tad, Q&A, lunch and an overview of pro-life activities in our community. This event is free to attend, but a free-will offering will be accepted. Our Lady of the Woods (OLW) Pro-Life Committee is sponsoring on Sep 11, at 6:30PM: a light meal; followed by a 7 PM ACT for Freedom Human Trafficking (HT) Awareness Presentation; and concluding with the rosary at 8PM, in the OLW Parish Center. The US is the #1 in HT and pornography in the world. It is pervasive. It is in our homes, schools and neighborhoods. Learn how to recognize HT and what you can do to end it. The next Growing Up: From Girl to Woman class will be offered on Sunday, September 15 from 1PM to 3PM at St. Francis Hospital. Mothers and daughters may attend this class together to learn about the important topic of the physical and emotional changes of a girl becoming a woman.  Cost: $20 per mother/daughter.
