Clergy Appointments

Bishop James Golka announces the following clergy appointments (all appointments effective July 1 unless otherwise noted):

Rev. Joseph Dygert is appointed Pastor of St. Joseph in Salida.

Rev. Alex Diaz, O.F.M. Cap. is appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Rajeev Palliathra, OSB, is appointed Pastor of St. Benedict in Falcon.  Father Palliathra is also appointed part-time chaplain at St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs.

Rev. James Williams is appointed as Director of Campus Ministry at the St. John Henry Newman Chapel and Catholic Student Center in Colorado Springs. Father Williams is also appointed part-time chaplain at St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Anthony Ambuul, scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood on June 8, 2024, is appointed Parochial Vicar at Ave Maria in Parker.

Rev. Sudheesh Arogyadas is appointed Parochial Vicar at Holy Apostles in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Vincent Mary Carrasco O.F.M. Cap., scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood in Denver on June 15, 2024, is appointed Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Colorado Springs effective August 24, 2024.

Rev. Patrick DiLoreto, scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood on June 8, 2024, is appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Mark in Highlands Ranch.

Rev. William Dwayer is appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Long Hai Do continues as Administrator to Vietnamese Holy Martyrs in Colorado Springs and is appointed part-time Parochial Vicar with residence at Divine Redeemer in Colorado Springs. 

Rev. Matthew Kane is appointed Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of the Pines in Colorado Springs.  Father Kane is also appointed part-time chaplain at St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Sean O’Connor, scheduled to be ordained to the priesthood on June 8, 2024, is appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Gabriel in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Thomas Pressley is appointed Parochial Vicar at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Ricardo Rosales is appointed as Vicar to Hispanic Ministry for the Diocese of Colorado Springs. He continues as Pastor of St. Dominic Parish in Security.

Rev. Jarrod Waugh, CSC and Rev. Joseph Pedersen, CSC, are appointed part-time chaplains at St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs.

Rev. Michael Goodyear, previously serving as pastor of St. Benedict Parish in Falcon, is granted permission to serve as a Chaplain for the Benedictines of Mary Convent in Ava, Missouri, located in the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. 

Rev. Randall Rentner, CSC, previously serving as associate pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Colorado Springs, is appointed Pastor of St. André Bessette Parish in Portland, Oregon. This appointment is effective Aug. 1. 

Rev. John Toepfer, O.F.M. Cap., previously serving as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Colorado Springs, is granted a six-month sabbatical for continuing education, retreat and visits with family.
