Rysavy, Tomich appointed to diocesan staff

COLORADO SPRINGS. Bishop James Golka has announced two appointments to the diocesan staff.

Deacon Rob Rysavy was named Chief of Staff for the Diocese of Colorado Springs, effective Oct. 1. Deacon Rysavy is retired from the U.S. Air Force and previously served as President of St. Mary’s High School as well as the Vitae Foundation. He was ordained a permanent deacon on June 20, 2020, and he and his wife Michelle have six children. Deacon Rysavy currently serves at Divine Redeemer Parish. 

Bishop Golka has also named Deacon Dan Tomich Director of the Permanent Diaconate for the Diocese of Colorado Springs, effective Nov. 1. Deacon Tomich was ordained June 11, 2016. He currently serves at St. Mary’s Cathedral and co-directs the diocesan ministry to those who are homebound and in care facilities. He previously worked as an electrical/software engineer. His wife is Paula Tomich.
