Dr. Pat Castle to give two presentations in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS. Dr. Pat Castle, Founder and President of LIFE Runners, will be in Colorado Springs next week for two exciting Respect Life events.

Dr. Castle will present his engaging look at “Pro-Life Apologetics — Converting Hearts and Minds” on June 12 from 7-9 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Cathedral Hall. On June 13 from 9-11 a.m., he will offer expert Sidewalk Advocacy Training on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood, located at 3480 Centennial Blvd. Dr. Castle is a regular prayer warrior and sidewalk counselor outside the abortion chamber of late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart in Nebraska. More information can be found at

LIFE Runners actually began in Colorado Springs in 2008, when Dr. Castle was a professor at the United States Air Force Academy. Since those early days of 12 pro-life teammates, LIFE Runners has grown, largely because of Dr. Castle’s dogged persistence, leadership and fervor in spreading a compassionate pro-life message. There are now an amazing 11,000 teammates in 121 chapters, in all 50 states and in 38 countries. Team members (walkers and runners) united in spirit wear bold blue jerseys with white lettering: “REMEMBER the Unborn” (Jer 1:5), bearing public witness to the sanctity of life in a positive apostolate of prayer and running.

Dr. Castle’s visit is particularly well-timed, as our local sidewalk advocacy efforts are expanding dramatically. The presence of sidewalk advocates on the Centennial sidewalk near Planned Parenthood has increased in the last several months from one day a week to five days most weeks. This presence is peaceful, prayerful, and law-abiding. Advocates focus on meeting the needs of the women and men heading into Planned Parenthood by offering support and life-affirming alternatives for care, such as Life Network’s pregnancy centers.

If this type of advocacy interests you, don’t miss Dr. Pat Castle at St. Mary’s on the evening of June 12. And come see us in action on the sidewalk with Dr. Castle on the morning of June 13.
