Castle Rock faith formation students bring Christmas cheer to Marian House

CASTLE ROCK. Faith Formation students at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Castle Rock created more than 200 Christmas-themed placements that were used by clients during the Marian House Christmas dinner. The effort was coordinated by Maribel Talafuse, Director of Faith Formation for kindergarten through fifth grade at the parish.
“What a great gift and such a humble one for our brothers and sisters in need,” said Father Chance Billmeyer, parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi.

FEATURED MOVIE REVIEW: A Man Called Otto

By John Mulderig/OSV News

NEW YORK. The transformation of a grump into a warm and fuzzy character is a trope as old as the Hollywood Hills. So, while the drama-and-comedy blend “A Man Called Otto” (PG-13, Sony) proves generally goodhearted, it also turns out to be formulaic. Mature discernment is required, moreover, to deal with some of the film’s themes.
