How to Pilgrimage From Home

Day two of my pilgrimage pulls back its covers. Sky, mountains, forest, and trail emerge from early morning’s deep purple gloaming to bathe in streams of gold. Electric blue light lingers in the glen as I head out my own door in the Colorado mountains for the next day of pilgrimage prayer on the Camino de Santiago France, the most popular route of the famous pilgrimage  also known as the Way of St. James.

Hesburgh Lecture will be held at Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS. The Notre Dame Club of Southern Colorado and Colorado College are sponsoring the annual Hesburgh Lecture on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at Armstrong Hall, 14 E. Cache La Poudre St. Professor Emilia Justyna Powell of the University of Notre Dame will speak on “Peaceful Resolution of Disputes in International Law.” For more information, contact Michael Ortiz at southerncolorado.president@alumni.nd.edu.

White Mass for health care professionals set for Oct. 24 at cathedral

COLORADO SPRINGS. Bishop James Golka will celebrate a White Mass for doctors, nurses and other health care professionals on Oct. 24 at 12:10 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. 
The purpose of the Mass is to honor and pray with and for all those who serve in the medical professions under the patronage of St. Luke. All are invited to attend.
