COLORADO SPRINGS. Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and founder of the organization Silent No More, will be the keynote speaker at the Bishop’s Respect Life Dinner on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. at The Broadmoor Hotel.

Morana has been active in the pro-life movement since 1989, traveling extensively to give pro-life training seminars for clergy and laity and helping to coordinate relationships between pro-life organizations and the Vatican as well as the White House.

Morana is co-host of “The Catholic View for Women” on EWTN as well as being featured on “Defending Life” with Priests for Life founder Father Frank Pavone. She is a weekly guest on EWTN radio with Teresa Tomeo and has appeared on Fox News Channel and numerous other media outlets.

Morana, a native of Brooklyn, New York, is a former public school teacher who specialized in reading and literacy. After drifting away from the Catholic faith in high school, she returned to the Church with the help of Father Pavone. In 2002, Morana founded the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, an international effort to assist women who have had abortions to share their testimonies. In 2009, the international Legatus organization presented her with the Cardinal John O’Connor Pro-Life Hall of Fame Award.
