Creativity presentation set for Sept. 27

COLORADO SPRINGS. St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish will host an Interactive Creativity Presentation on Sept. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Participants will express their faith through singing, drawing, story writing, poetry writing, prayer quotes and coloring. Our Lady of the Woods to host Spanish class

WOODLAND PARK. Our Lady of the Woods Parish in Woodland Park will offer an introductory Spanish class on Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. in the administrative building, 216 S. West St., beginning Sept. 18. The class is taught by Richard Molter, a retired high school Spanish teacher, and is designed to help people in any ministry who interact with Spanish speakers. For more information, send an email to karlcherie@msn.com.

Catholic Daughters to hold information meeting

SECURITY. All women age 18 and up are invited to learn about the Catholic Daughters of the Americas during a potluck luncheon on Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Parish in Security. Participants will learn how the Catholic Daughters serve the church and community. Lunch will be provided for all guests.

Families with special-needs children find respite at DR

COLORADO SPRINGS. Caregiving can be a highly demanding, stressful responsibility for which no one person can adequately perform full-time without assistance.

Family members also require support and attention in order to maintain their own health and well-being. Respite care helps parents or caregivers take time to refresh, recharge their batteries and enables them to cope with caregiving.

Annual Diocesan Teen Rally will take place July 13

Our Lady of the Pines Parish will host the annual diocesan teen rally on July 13, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. All youth, including incoming 8th graders to graduating seniors, are invited. The rally will include amazing music, outdoor competitions, a eucharistic procession, Mass at 4:30 p.m., and lunch, dinner, snacks and night-time smores.
