March for Life inspires participants to work at local level

COLORADO SPRINGS. A large group of youth and adults from the diocese traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate Jan. 20 in the March for Life, an annual demonstration which takes place as a response to the Jan. 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court which legalized abortion in all 50 states. Prior to the ruling, states had their own laws about abortion. The march began the following year, 1974, and has continued ever since.

COLORADO SPRINGS. At the first Bishop’s Respect Life Dinner to take place following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade last June, local pro-life leaders explained how the ruling is impacting Colorado and challenged local Catholics to change the way they think and speak about abortion.

    General Robert Titus dies Sept. 8 at age 97

    COLORADO SPRINGS. General Robert Titus, a highly decorated veteran of three wars, died Sept. 8 at age 91. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 23 at Corpus Christi Parish, followed by burial in the U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery.
