In Memoriam: Bridget Paton

Bridget Paton, wife of former diocesan finance officer Wayne Paton and a longtime member of St. Paul Parish, died June 18 at age 69. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 7 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. 

She was born June 23, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from Morgan City High School. She worked in the dental and banking fields before moving to Colorado Springs, where she met her husband Wayne. The couple married in 1985 and had one son, Ian. 

Bridget enjoyed singing in the church choir, traveling, watching Colorado College hockey games, and entertaining for the holidays and other special events. She also enjoyed taking care of her pets 

She is survived by her husband Wayne, son Ian, granddaughters Chloe and Bella, daughter-in-law Becca, father-in-law Al and sister-in-law Debra.
