Bishop James Golka will celebrate the annual Blue Mass for law enforcement, firefighter and emergency-services personnel on May 14 at 12:10 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. A lunch reception will follow. All law enforcement personnel in attendance will receive a St. Michael the Archangel coin blessed by Bishop Golka. St. Michael the Archangel is the patron saint of the law-enforcement profession. All firefighters present will receive a St. Florian coin blessed by Bishop Golka. St. Florian is the patron saint of firefighters. Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP to Father Brad Noonan at fatherbrad@msn.com.
