Slate of activities planned for Respect Life Month
COLORADO SPRINGS. The fall 40 Days for Life prayer vigil will take place Sept. 27-Nov. 5 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. each day on Centennial Boulevard near Planned Parenthood. The kick-off event will be Sept. 22 at 9 a.m., consisting of the Rachel Rosary and prayer.
On Oct. 13, the 100th anniversary of the final apparition of the Blessed Mother at Fatima, there will be a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. featuring Carol Siedhoff from the national 40 Days for Life team. For more information, visit www.40daysforlife.com/coloradosprings.
Several other Respect Life events are scheduled for October. On Oct. 1, prayer chains will take place at two locations in the Pikes Peak region. The annual Tri-Lakes Prayer Chain will take place from 1:30-3 p.m. along Highway 105. Signs can be picked up at several locations along the route. A prayer chain will also take place along Academy Boulevard near the intersection of Austin Bluffs.
