Religious Liberty forum set for Sept. 25 at Holy Apostles

COLORADO SPRINGS. A forum on religious freedom titled “Religious Liberty: Now and Forever” will take place Sept. 25 at Holy Apostles Parish at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Colorado Catholic Conference and the Mormon Church.

Steven Collis, a religious freedom specialist for the Mormon Church, will give a talk titled “What is religious liberty?” Collis is an adjunct professor of religious liberty law at the Sturm College of Law and chairs the religious institutions and first amendment practice group at Holland & Hart.

Jennifer Kraska, executive director of the Colorado Catholic Conference, will give a presentation titled “Religious liberty — what can we do to defend it?” The Colorado Catholic Conference is the legislative arm of Colorado’s four Catholic bishops.

Following the speaker presentations, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.
