Holy Trinity’s new cookbook is a ‘scrapbook’ of the parish

COLORADO SPRINGS.  Holy Trinity Church has published a new, one-of-a-kind cookbook designed to thrill the taste buds while evoking memories of Mom’s home cooking.

Trinity Treasures is a publication crammed with mouthwatering recipes ranging from old family cheesecake recipes to gluten and dairy-free meals. The 184-page cookbook contains 400 recipes, comes in a 3-ring binder with tabbed dividers and costs $10. A 16-page booklet of helpful cooking hints also is included.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Father Tomasz Jamka, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish, has been named the new chaplain and executive director of Catholic Outreach to Northern Ukraine, (CONU) the organization founded by Father Paul Wicker in the mid-1990s to help the Catholic Church in Ukraine rebuild after decades of Communist oppression.

COLORADO SPRINGS. As daily news reports shift from mass shootings to depictions of war in Ukraine, it is easy to become desensitized to the suffering of the world. But St. Patrick Parish in Colorado Springs took the message of Pope Francis — to go to the peripheries and bring hope to the suffering — by reorienting their annual Giving Tree project to address needs beyond the boundaries of their local community.
