COLORADO SPRINGS. January is Sanctity of Human Life Month. You may ask, “But wait, isn’t that in October?” I can certainly appreciate your confusion.

COLORADO SPRINGS. What do you get when you combine delicious barbecue, cute miniature donkeys, rousing music, a chance to put Bishop Golka in jail, and an inspiring message from the Sisters of Life? You get the 2025 Bishop’s Respect Life Roundup!

If you take nothing else away from this article, I hope you will remember one simple thing: VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 79. Why should you vote NO on 79?

On April 12, Pro-Life Colorado, a coalition of pro-life organizations across the state, will team up with the National March for Life organization to host the first ever Colorado March for Life. While it is true that we have for many years held statewide rallies and marches at the state capitol in Denver, these were always independent undertakings sponsored by the Denver Archdiocese under the moniker “Celebrate Life March.” 

Joy! That is the main word that comes to mind as I look back on the 2024 Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., for the National March for Life on Jan. 19.

Our group of 32 (19 youth, 13 chaperones) was enormously blessed by the entire experience. Thank you to every one of you who made this pilgrimage possible by your generous support of the Bishop’s Respect Life Fund whether through periodic donations or through your gifts at the Bishop’s Respect Life Roundup.
