COLORADO SPRINGS. The 2018 Rocky Mountain March for Life, sponsored by St. Mary’s High School’s Students for Life group and the Diocese of Colorado Springs’ Respect Life Apostolate, will take place Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, at the sidewalk near the Planned Parenthood facility located at 3480 Centennial Blvd. in Colorado Springs. 
Each October we observe Respect Life Month in dioceses around the United States. This year’s theme is “Be Not Afraid,” but of what, or whom, are we supposed to not be afraid?

COLORADO SPRINGS. Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and founder of the organization Silent No More, will be the keynote speaker at the Bishop’s Respect Life Dinner on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. at The Broadmoor Hotel.

COLORADO SPRINGS. The fall 40 Days for Life prayer vigil will take place Sept. 27-Nov. 5 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. each day on Centennial Boulevard near Planned Parenthood. The kick-off event will be Sept. 22 at 9 a.m., consisting of the Rachel Rosary and prayer.

Couples who struggle to get pregnant are turning with greater frequency to the in vitro fertilization (IVF) industry for assistance. In some cases, they can end up feeling they are “too pregnant” when twins, triplets or quads arise.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Entries are now being accepted for the 2017 Respect Life Project Competition, which is part of the annual Bishop’s Respect Life Dinner. The competition is open to youth ages 13-18.

Some people may wish to “donate their body to science” after they die. Such a gift of themselves can be objectively good and praiseworthy provided that their body would contribute to meaningful research or study, and that it would not be used in a disrespectful or otherwise inappropriate manner.
