DENVER. Democrats for Life will hold their inaugural national conference in Denver July 20-22 at the Radisson Hotel Denver Southeast. The purpose of the conference is to discuss ways to infuse a pro-life perspective into national culture and politics. Featured speakers will include Rob Rysavy, Anna Keating, Charles Camosy and many others. COLORADO SPRINGS. Bishop Michael Sheridan presented Steve Lander, Salida Pregnancy Resource Center (SPRC) Board President, with a $10,000 check to aid in their mission to assist women who are pregnant. This check is part of the fundraising proceeds of the 2017 Bishop’s Respect Life Dinner.

COLORADO SPRINGS. In the early morning hours of Jan. 25, 23 young people and adult chaperones gathered in the dark at the Catholic Pastoral Center to get on a bus to Denver International Airport. There was some unspoken concern by parents and chaperones that flying into San Francisco for the Walk for Life West Coast would be akin to walking into the lion’s den. However, just like Daniel, we had no reason to fear.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Forty Days for Life is an international effort to end abortion peacefully through prayer and fasting, public witness in front of an abortion clinic, and community outreach. The national effort began in the fall of 2007. It is now in 47 countries, with 750,000 participants.  Nearly 14,000 lives are known have been saved from abortion since 2007.

COLORADO SPRINGS. The 2018 Rocky Mountain March for Life, sponsored by St. Mary’s High School’s Students for Life group and the Diocese of Colorado Springs’ Respect Life Apostolate, will take place Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, at the sidewalk near the Planned Parenthood facility located at 3480 Centennial Blvd. in Colorado Springs.
