The 17th annual diocesan Blue Mass, honoring all law enforcement personnel, firefighters, EMS/first responders, and those who work closely within these fields (i.e. dispatchers, etc.), will take place on May 13, 12:10 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. All are invited to wear their uniform of the day or Class A dress uniform. St. Michael coins for law enforcement personnel and St. Florian coins for firefighters will be blessed by Bishop James Golka. Anyone who would like a coin is asked to RSVP to fatherbrad@msn.com. A lunch reception will follow the Mass. All are invited. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Stanislaus Parish in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery.
