As we draw closer to Archbishop-designate James Golka's installation as the sixth Archbishop of Denver, clergy, religious and lay faithful are invited to gather in prayer at the start of his ministry as shepherd of the local Church.

Following the announcement on Feb. 7 that Bishop Golka has been appointed Archbishop of Denver, many people are wondering what the future holds for the Diocese of Colorado Springs. Here are answers to some of the most commonly-asked questions:

GRAND ISLAND, NE. Patricia J. “Pat” Golka, the mother of Bishop James Golka, died Jan. 5 in Grand Island, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated  Jan. 9 at St. Leo’s Parish in Grand Island, followed by interment in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
