Movie suggestions for a family-friendly film library

In this era of podcasts and streaming services, vigilant Catholic parents will want to search for cinematic productions which tell absorbing stories without descending into standard societal sinkholes: needless profanity; permissive drug use, cheerless nudity; sympathetic portrayals of sexual depravity; and smirking dismissals of the existence of God 

Hesburgh Lecture will be held at Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS. The Notre Dame Club of Southern Colorado and Colorado College are sponsoring the annual Hesburgh Lecture on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at Armstrong Hall, 14 E. Cache La Poudre St. Professor Emilia Justyna Powell of the University of Notre Dame will speak on “Peaceful Resolution of Disputes in International Law.” For more information, contact Michael Ortiz at southerncolorado.president@alumni.nd.edu.

White Mass for health care professionals set for Oct. 24 at cathedral

COLORADO SPRINGS. Bishop James Golka will celebrate a White Mass for doctors, nurses and other health care professionals on Oct. 24 at 12:10 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. 
The purpose of the Mass is to honor and pray with and for all those who serve in the medical professions under the patronage of St. Luke. All are invited to attend.
