Elaine Tourville
COLORADO SPRINGS. Elaine Tourville, who served as volunteer librarian for Holy Apostles Parish for more than 30 years, died Aug. 13. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 25 at Holy Apostles.
Tourville was born to Raymond and Bertha Kellerman on March 30, 1938, in South St. Paul, Minnesota. She met Eugene Paul Tourville in high school; they married in 1959. She dedicated her life to serving her family, community, and God. Elaine worked as a teacher’s aide for School District 11 for 20 years and volunteered for another 20 years. She helped many children learn to read to succeed. Elaine started reading tutoring programs, including summer remedial reading with grand friends.
Her passion for reading led her to serve as volunteer librarian at the Holy Apostles Parish Library for over 30 years. Elaine is survived by husband Gene, half-sisters Linda Nolan (Ron) and Vicki Kellerman (Laurie), and her six children, Rosanne Armstrong (Dennis), Jon Tourville (Marcy), Michelle Wheatley (Hal), Jeanette Reese (John), Francine Tourville, and Vince Tourville (Elena). Additionally, she is survived by 11 grandchildren: Angela, Kristina, Fletcher, Denise, Elise, Caleb, Hamilton, Aleesia, Eli, Johanna, Elias and six great grandchildren.
