In just a very short time, we will be beginning the season of Lent. Often, in the busyness of our lives, this holy season of Lent can creep up on us. All of a sudden it is Ash Wednesday, and we have done little to nothing to prepare for this penitential season.

In his Pastoral Letter for the Year of Hope, Bishop James Golka encouraged “all the faithful of the diocese, through prayerful reading and study, [to] rediscover the beautiful and inspiring teachings of Vatican II through which the Holy Spirit has brought about a new and fresh outpouring of the spirit of Pentecost for a New Evangelization.” 
In order to help the faithful rediscover these teachings,  Lucas Pollice, Director of the New Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship for the Diocese of Colorado Springs, will be presenting a nine-part video series on Vatican II.

COLORADO SPRINGS.  An Indian priest serving in the Diocese of Grand Island in Nebraska is now asking the community to help him find a kidney donor.

COLORADO SPRINGS. During this Jubilee Year of Hope, (which runs until Jan. 6, 2026), the Church has designated particular churches in Rome and the Holy Land as sacred Jubilee sites. These Jubilee churches provide a place for pilgrims to gather in prayer — and provide an opportunity to receive a plenary indulgence.
